Together they received , or of the media total, and the largest of them got . They run from weeklies and watchdog outfits just outside the top down to village papers and community TV stations funded by a handful of donors.
All 31,299 beneficiaries on the 2026 list received between them, up on 2025. Media-related organisations grew three times faster, and added donors in a year when the donor pool as a whole shrank.
The average designation across all beneficiaries rose from to per donor, about 7%. An organisation flat in forint terms therefore lost ground in real terms — the real-terms figure in each detail panel deflates 2026 by that factor.
